Our Services

Women have been giving birth at home for as long as we can remember, helped by women in their community. Women helping women, has been the core of the midwifery model of care, and at Homer Birth and Wellness, we continue to honor the choice of having your baby at home.

Why would some women chose to do that? Many find it empowering to labor in a familiar setting in complete privacy, at their own pace, surrounded by familiar people they trust, with guests and midwives at respectful distance so as not to intrude with their privacy. Others find laboring at home more intimate and more spiritual as well.

Our midwives carry all their birth supplies, including oxygen and postpartum hemorrhage drugs to women's home and set them up in a non intrusive way, making sure not to disturb the intimacy of the birth process.
